"FIRE ON THE MOON" WELCOMES NICOLLE

Created by Astrid Lark, Fire on the Moon is a New York City based immersive performance company (www.fireonthemoon.co).

Its next show, Secrets of the Old Bridge, will take place on December 2nd, 2018 in Brooklyn, NY. This live multi-dimensional performance will combine music, cinematography, theater, and dance to tell the story of Laramie: a young woman who struggles to address long-held trauma and combat her inner demons with the help of those who love her.

NICOLLE GOES TO PUERTO RICO TO FILM "LA CIUDAD DEL SILENCIO''

A year after hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, Nicolle travels to the island to film her grandfather, Emilio Marquez, an 88-year-old retired pentecostal preacher who lost his wife days after the hurricane made landfall.

In this journey, Nicolle captures Emilio as he deals with the outcomes of the storm and the loss of his companion of almost 60 years.

La Ciudad del Silencio (working title) is a delicate documentation of the routines of an elderly man as he copes with aftermaths.

NICOLLE CAST IN EVA DEPOORTER'S "THE WIDOW."

Nicolle has been cast in "The Widow," an experimental short film by Belgium conceptual-artist and filmmaker Eva Depoorter.

The film features French actress Laurance Martin as the widow and Nicolle Marquez as the deceased. The story tackles raw themes of the human condition such as death, grief, love, sexuality and the passage of time in its most abstract and conceptual way. 

"The Widow" will be filmed in New York City throughout June 2018. 

NICOLLE WILL BE PART OF THIS YEAR'S "48 HOURS IN... EL BRONX" FESTIVAL

48Hours in… El Bronx is a collaborative experience presented by Pregones Theatre/Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre in association with Harlem9, in which 30 invited artists – 6 Latino playwrights, along with 6 directors and 18 actors – are challenged to re-conceive notable events/experiences from The Bronx into six different ten-minute plays.

NICOLLE CAST WITH LEAD ROLE IN THE FEATURE FILM "HALFWAY"

Nicolle has been cast in "Halfway," an independent feature film written and directed by emerging director Joel Alfonso Vargas.

The film tells the story of a Puerto Rican family in the Bronx, trying to heal their traumas and rise together at the same time that Puerto Rico is dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Maria.

The film follows Angel (Bernardo Tiaba), a car mechanic recently released from prison, as he tries to rekindle his relationship with his estranged daughter, Ivelisse (Nicolle Márquez), and reintegrate into life on the outside.

The film is scheduled to start filming in February 2018.

NICOLLE CAST IN STAGED PRODUCTION "MACHINAL"

"Machinal," an Expressinist play written by Sophie Treadwell in 1928, will be revived by director Lee Sunday Evans.

Nicolle will be playing the role of Helen, a young woman who works in a low-status office job, marries her boss though she does not love him, has a baby, then an intoxicating affair, murders her husband, is put on trial and later sentenced to the electric chair. 

The story will dissect how societal rules shape the private lives of women, rather than tell the story of one eccentric individual who can't conform to society.

NICOLLE LANDS LEAD ROLE IN THE SHORT FILM "MOTHERLAND DEPARTED"

Nicolle has been cast as the lead in "Motherland Departed." 

The film is set in a near future dystopia. It tells the story of Luna, a girl who is raised as a ruthless killer in order to survive in a land ravaged by climate change.

IT'S A WRAP FOR "THE GEOMETRIES OF DESIRE"

The feature film "The Geometries" of Desire has been wrapped!

The film is set to be released in 2018 and expected to circulate throughout film festivals in the United States.

THE SET OF "LEDA" SAYS GOODBYE TO NICOLLE

Nicolle has finished filming her supporting role in the indie feature film "LEDA."

The film is set to continue production until the end of the summer.

It is expected to be released in the spring of 2018!

NICOLLE ADVENTURES INTO DIRECTING

"NULO" has been wrapped today! 

This is Nicolle's first time directing a film. 

She also wrote it and produced it asides from acting in it.

NICOLLE TO PLAY RAG DOLL IN THE SURREALIST PLAY "TWO"

As part of the 4th Annual Schreiber Shorts Festival, Nicolle will be playing a rag doll called Bernadette alongside Matt Maretz who will be playing Benjamin.

NICOLLE IS CAST IN THE FEATURE FILM " THE GEOMETRIES OF DESIRE"

Nicolle has been cast with a lead role in  "The Geometries of Desire." 

The black-and-white avant-garde feature film is the sequel of "The Algebra of Need," a film that has been circuiting throughout many film festivals in the United States. 

Nicolle will be heading to Buffalo, New York next May to film her role as Odette, a woman caught in the middle of a love triangle. 

Written and directed by David R. Williams.

NICOLLE LANDS SUPPORTING ROLE IN "LEDA," A SILENT BLACK-AND-WHITE 3D FEATURE FILM

Nicolle has been cast in "Leda," a feature film inspired on the Greek myth.

The silent black-and-white 3D film is written and directed by Samuel Tressler IV and stars Adeline Thery as Leda. Nicolle will be playing Leda's cousin. 

The production is  based out of Frederick, Maryland and surrounding areas and it's set to film in 2017.
